I love this!! Coogler and the whole cast were so amazing. Arkapaw’s speech was incredible ❤️ as was Michael B Jordan’s! I 100% agree with everything you say here- it’s absolutely what I was feeling while watching the Oscars. I was sad that Sinners didn’t take home all 16.
All great moments! And I had a lot of love for a ton of movies, so didn't mind the love being spread around, but you could definitely make a very strong argument for Sinners in all 16 categories where it got noms!
sigh, the cupboards, make me understand (this is a great piece and as a non-parent I'm doing that crazy thing where I'm sending it to the parents I love without fear!)
Oh, I don't have a good excuse. I think the broader root cause is that my wife, whose brain works more systematically than mine, generally has a very clear order of operations to when she does one task and then another (for instance, in the kitchen), and I think what's understandably confounding to her is that I do have an order in my head in which I'm planning to do everything in a given category of tasks (including close the cabinets) before I leave the kitchen, but the logic as to what thing, in what order, is impossible to explain to somebody else outside of my brain.
[I know the cupboards matter to her, though, and I don't want any member of our increasingly tall family to bonk their heads, so I've made progress].

I so appreciate this very thorough response and look into your brain!
