Did you ever read her first novel “Perma Red”? It needs downshifting too, but this one even more so. (Also a lot of trigger warnings for both. But in this new one let’s just say you are not allowed to keep the white settler’s illusion of a comfortable Sacajawea mythology because Debra keeps the fact that she was a child in the forefront.)
